Typically a valid government-issued ID and a recent proof of address. Depending on the checks required, we may also ask about your source of funds. This is part of our legal anti-money-laundering obligations.
We aim to review documents within 3 business days. If we need anything further, we'll let you know — a request for more documents is routine and not a reflection on you.
Fund your account using the payment methods available in your account area. To meet anti-money-laundering rules, deposits should come from a payment source held in your own name.
Deposit processing times vary by method but typically range from a few minutes to 24 hours. Your bank or card provider may add additional time outside our control.
It's an anti-money-laundering requirement. We don't accept payments from unrelated third parties, which also helps protect your account.
Request a withdrawal from your account area. We may ask for identity or compliance documents before processing it, in line with our anti-money-laundering obligations.
No. There is no trading-volume or turnover requirement to withdraw your own money. You can withdraw your available deposits and your trading profits at any time, subject only to lawful identity and compliance checks.
Withdrawal processing times typically range from a few minutes to 24 hours, depending on the method and subject to standard KYC and AML checks. Once approved, your bank or payment provider may take additional time to credit the funds.
To reduce the risk of fraud, we normally return funds to the same source you deposited from, in your own name.
Choose an instrument, set your size, select an order type (such as market, limit, or stop), and confirm. Make sure you understand how each order type works before using it.
Leverage lets you open a position larger than the funds you commit, which magnifies both gains and losses; margin is the amount you must keep in your account to support it. These are high-risk features — please read our Risk Warning and Section 16 of the Terms.
If your available margin falls below the required level, positions may be closed automatically to limit further losses (a margin close-out). This is explained in our Terms.
Our charges — which may include spreads, commissions, and overnight financing — can be seen under deposits/withdrawals marked as fees. We give reasonable notice before changing fees.
No. We don't offer deposit "bonuses" with trading-volume conditions attached to withdrawals, and we don't charge dormancy or inactivity fees that reduce your balance. Your funds remain your funds.
Use the password-reset option on the login screen. For your protection, some login and account-security matters may be verified through a secure channel before we can make changes.
Check your internet connection and try again. We aim to keep the platform available but can't guarantee it is uninterrupted. If the problem continues, contact us with details and a screenshot if possible.
Stay safe
Online trading attracts scammers, so please keep these points in mind. They help protect you — and they reflect how we will and won't ever contact you.
We will never ask you for your account password, your full card number, or remote access to your device. If anyone does — even claiming to be from us — do not share it.
Treat with great caution anyone who pressures you to deposit, promises guaranteed or "risk-free" profits, or offers to recover lost funds for a fee. These are classic signs of a scam.
Only act on messages from our official website and from support@ellington-ltd.com. If something looks off, don't click or reply — contact us directly through the official channel to check.
Use a strong, unique password, enable any available two-factor authentication, and review your account activity regularly. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
If you think you've been targeted or your account has been compromised, contact us straight away at support@ellington-ltd.com so we can help and take protective steps.
Not happy with something?
If something has gone wrong, please contact our support team first so we can try to put it right. We'll acknowledge your complaint, look into it fairly, and aim to respond within a reasonable time.
If we can't resolve it directly, you may be able to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service (if you are a UK client) or the relevant dispute resolution body in your jurisdiction. Nothing affects your right to take a matter to a court of competent jurisdiction, and, if you're a consumer, to do so where you live, where the law provides. You can find the full process in our Terms and Conditions and General Legal page.
